Some actual botw fanart, more to come if I find the inspiration who am I kidding I've got about a million ideas it's just a matter of me actually getting off my ass and drawing them
Goddammit man, I was cool with this game being just filled with exploration and painfully OP enemies (I swear someday I'll go on a rampage and kill every Lynel I find, I'm already in the process of marking them all on my map), I wasn't expecting feels. The way the story is constructed might seem weird at first because it's all out of order, but if you take into consideration that Link is literally trying to recover his memories, it makes sense that he wouldn't remember events in a chronological way. Taking on the dungeons in whatever order is part of that, and of course I chose one hella depressing one as my first.
But anyway, that's not even what this pic is about. Vah Ruta. Mipha. Holy crap. I didn't think this game would actually make me cry, but good riddance it sure knew how to pack a punch. I just had to draw this (it's so easy finding the right angles if you actually own the game you're doing fanart of, the google search images for Vah Ruta were completely useless), and sunsets give everything a more intimate atmosphere. I can't wait to pound Ganon to dust, it will be the most satisfying boss battle ever

last night i just sat in bed at 2am and watched every memory in order. it broke my heart as Zelda left her own spirit in the master sword so she could be with Link when he awoke. I'm just so curious as to what that actual message was that she wanted to deliver "Great Deku Tree, when he wakes up, tell Link that I-" and then the Deku tree cut her off and said "Perhaps messages to him would sound much better in the tones of your voice." she just smiled with cheer when she learned she could.
was it a thank you or was it a message of love?
im strangley not seeing the love so much in this game. I am, however, really diggin the relationship between Zelda and Urbosa. its not necissarally romantic, but it is very clear that they have a strong bond to each other
