Skyloft

University's going to start next week, so I only got a few days left to do art, gotta make the most out of it


Aaaaaaaah I love this game, I love this game to bits. I missed out on the chance of playing it on the Wii, but I'm waiting to get either a Wii U or an NX, and this and Breath Of The Wild are the only games I'll ever care about playing on either console (ok, ww hd and tp hd are pretty high on the list too) and I can't wait.
This game gets a fair share of hate because of the wonky controls and the hand-holdy style, but you assholes try playing Zelda 2 if you want something to complain about O:< I'll admit, this game's not perfect, it's slow and linear and wants/needs/has to explain everything to the player, but to me it has BY FAR the best story and characters in the franchise, some of the best music, some of the best graphics, and a lot of memorable moments. I like story-oriented games, so yeah, this is my favourite

A lot of the SS fanart I saw out there is shipping art, which I totally approve of, but I kinda prefer drawing panoramic shots, rather than characters (which is why some of you may have noticed that I only draw Link either from behind or really small, everything to avoid drawing faces :'D), especially since there's so many gorgeous places in Zelda. This is why I decided to draw the sky and Skyloft instead. The background is loosely inspired by official SS art, and I'm so happy that I found an image of Link riding his Loftwing almost exactly the way I was trying to envision it in my head. It's probably easy to guess that I'm very happy of the result of this~~
